Michelle

I recently purchased a painting by called, “Michelle.” It’s the illustration is of girl, becoming a woman. I was moved to buy the print because I was her.

All women were.

Innocent and painfully aware of a new vulnerability.

The look in her eyes speaks volumes, as does the fact that she’s protecting her wrist to self-comfort.

I sense that she’s afraid of her own appeal, as so many of us were, and are, at that age.

At the risk of sounding rude, I find it fascinating that a man captured the essence of a young woman’s feelings so well.

Kudo’s. This piece helped me rediscover the child within myself. In his work, I can see the brave girl becoming a powerful woman.
