[Client Name] was born in Rexburg, Idaho on December 7th, 1979. His father was a science teacher and his mother was a homemaker; who was responsible for raising four spirited boys. After attending Spanish Fork High School, Zach went on to graduate, in 2008, from Utah Valley University; with a B.A. in Communications and Media Studies. 

Throughout the years Zach has been a serial entrepreneur – developing several businesses  including, Liko Films, Modern Creative Media, and Physeo. During the same time, he was also expanding his behind-the-scenes portfolio in the entertainment industry. 

His career in film and television began with positions in Dumb and Dumber, Independence Day, and Touched by an Angel. He also helped to produce 89 episodes of the popular TV Series,  Everwood. Since then, he has been a producer and director for countless productions, including End of an Empire

As an award winning Director and Producer, Zach is known for his work on Dumb and Dumber (1994), Avatar (2009), and Finite Water (2019). Additionally, he has experience as a contributing writer, editor, camera operator, and aerial cinematographer. His work history also includes domestic distribution for Twentieth Century Fox, and project coordination for Lightstorm Films. One of his tenured positions is as a Producer for Prox13 Productions – developing large feature films – which he joined in 2009.  

After working on Avatar – alongside James Cameron in 2008 – Zach and his wife decided to move out of their comfort zone and into paradise; otherwise known as the state of Hawaii. While there, Zach directed the documentary Finite Water, which went on to win over 20 awards, including: Best Documentary, Best Director, and Best Cinematography. 

Zach also spent years developing End of an Empirea spectacular movie about the ancestors of the indigenous peoples of the Americas – with Weta Workshops in Wellington, New Zealand;  in order to showcase their amazing heritage in 2020. 

Mr. Thomson has a deep understanding of the film industry from initial development, finance, production, and on through to post production, marketing, distribution, and merchandising. He worked in Market and Distribution for 20th Century Fox and has since structured distribution deals throughout North and South America, Europe, and China.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Zach was a Sector Coordinator for the 2002 Salt Lake Winter Olympics, he helped develop Autism Training Solutions from the ground up, and he was a legislative analyst for the Hawaii State Capitol. 

Zach is also fluent in Spanish; after having served a church mission in Argentina for two years.
