I’m excited to tell you about Cancer Guardian from Wamberg Genomic Advisors; including what they do and why people love it – in under three minutes. Let’s get started.
Wamberg Genomic Advisors is a conduit between the world of genetic testing, and employee benefits. Their mission is to improve health, wellness and longevity, by delivering accessible and affordable genomic testing programs and services to employees.
Why would an employer want to offer genetic testing?
Information gleaned from genetic testing saves lives and can reduce healthcare costs at the same time. For example, their Cancer Guardian Program is designed to help participants identify their genetic risk of cancer, encourage prevention and help them access dedicated services and advanced DNA testing if they are ever diagnosed, helping to enhance their chances of survival.
More importantly, the genetic testing and services offered by Cancer Guardian are NOT typically made available through your average health insurance plan.
The initial Hereditary Genetic Screening Test is designed to identify genetic risks for specific types of cancer include breast, colorectal, prostate, ovarian, among others.
Furthermore, if a member is ever diagnosed with cancer, they will receive comprehensive DNA testing of the cancer itself – which can help identify the most effective treatment options including targeted therapies, immunotherapies, and even clinical trials.
Plus, they are given access to an oncology-trained nurse; who can be by their side at appointments to ask the right questions, provide support, and retain information.
Finally, members can upload their medical notes, records or images – for any health care related condition – directly to the digital medical records platform.
The Cancer Guardian Program can be offered on an employer paid or voluntary basis and includes commissions in either a flat or heaped model.
Cancer Guardian is a powerful, value-add for employers to extend to their employees. Everyone deserves access to this type of advanced DNA information so that they can identify their risk and receive the most effective treatment.
